Camp Policies

Drop-Off Instructions

Campers should arrive ready to swim. 

This means:

  • Wearing a swimsuit
  • Sunscreen already applied
  • Camp T-shirt worn over the swimsuit (Tuesday–Friday)


Drop-off runs from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM — no earlier than 8:30 AM.

  • We recommend dropping campers off in Stanford Circle where our counselors and CITs will safely escort them inside.
  • On Mondays, all parents are required to park and walk their child into the University Whitten Center Building to check in at the pool’s front desk.
  • If you prefer to walk your child in, you must park legally and accompany them to the check-in desk.


After 9:00 AM:

  • Parents must park and walk campers inside to check in at the front desk.
  • This ensures the safety and accurate attendance of all participants.

Have Questions About Parking?

Camp T-Shirt Policy

  • FREE Camp T-shirts are distributed on Monday mornings.
  • Campers must wear their shirt every day at drop-off, over their swimsuit.
  • If a camper arrives without their shirt, they cannot be checked in until they have it.
  • Parents may return home to retrieve the shirt, or purchase a new one at check-in for $15 (cash or Zelle accepted).

Pick-Up Instructions

  • Camp ends at 3:00 PM
  • Pick-up is from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM in Stanford Circle. 


  • If it's raining, staff will bring campers out in groups using walkie-talkies.
  • In case of lightning, parents must come inside to pick up their child.

Late Pick-Up Policy (Effective Immediately):

  • A grace period ends at 3:30 PM.
  • Campers not picked up by then will be walked inside, and emergency contacts will be called.
  • A late fee of $30 at 3:31 PM, plus $1 per additional minute, will be charged.
  • At 3:45 PM, campers will be escorted to UMPD, where they must be picked up.
  • Payment is required before the child is released (cash or Zelle to Hurricane Aquatics).

Where is UMPD?

Authorized Pick-Up & ID Policy

  • Only individuals listed on the Camper Information Form will be allowed to pick up your child.
    • A photo ID is required at pick-up — no exceptions.
    • Any updates to authorized pick-up individuals must be sent via email. 
    • If someone arrives who is not listed, we will call the emergency contact for confirmation before releasing the child.


Pick-Up Before 3:00 PM is not permitted unless arranged in advance.

  • If you need to pick up early, please let us know in person, by phone, or via email.
  • After 2:30 PM, we ask that parents remain in their vehicles, as early arrivals disrupt the camp’s end-of-day routine and safety procedures.
