When driving on US1, turn onto Stanford Drive and continue straight, crossing over Ponce de Leon. This will take you to the main entrance of the University. You'll notice the street is lined with palm trees, and there is a guard shack on your left. Pass through the left side of the guard shack. In most cases, the guard will let you pass without stopping, but if they do, simply let them know you're there for a swim lesson at the UM pool.
The pool is located in the Whitten University Center (UC). After parking in the garage or on stanford circle, walk toward the center of campus, cross the footbridge, and enter the UC. Look for large bulkhead doors which should be on your left with a wall gallery to your right. You’ll see SoCal Tacos right in front of you; if you pass SoCal Tacos, you've gone too far. Enter the doors on your left, let the desk staff know you're there for a swim lesson, and proceed straight through the doors to the pool deck.
There is metered parking available along Stanford Drive, costing $1 per hour. For convenience, it's recommended to park near the roundabout at the end of Stanford Drive. The meters are in operation from 9am to 10pm, excluding holidays and Sundays.
Pavia Garage is another option for parking. You can purchase a parking pass at the guard shack when you enter off Stanford Drive, or find a payment machine inside the garage near the elevators. The cost is $1 per hour, and both credit cards and cash are accepted. After passing the guard shack on Stanford Drive, take the first left onto Levante. Canterbury Preschool will be on your left. Continue driving, then take the next right onto Pavia Road. The garage will be on your left, and the entrance is down that street. Note that the University does not ticket after 4pm in the garage.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
